best trail cam for the money

I do still use the Wildgame with 4 C batteries but you go through a set of batteries in 2 to 4 weeks.

I had the same experience with cheap batteries and I moved away from the C size batteries as soon as I realize JUST HOW AWESOME the AA Lithium batteries are in the Spy Point cameras. I have had a set in each of my cameras for almost a year & they STILL show as fully charged! These are the 8xpower AA Lithium batteries. They are AWESOME!

Cheers

Moultrie M-100 has been top rated on numerous lists on the net. I like the ones I own and are around the $200. With trail cams, like Iphones and any other electronic gadget its obsolete the minute you buy it.

Cheers!!

I like the Spy Point cams! They take AA lithium batteries & they last a long time! They also have a new model (BF-7) that has the invisible IR...

I currently run two of their IR-6 cams, but I will be getting a couple more of the invisible IR models called the BF-7...

Cheers
Jay

Agreed.... price wise and features pretty hard to beat a spypoint....

Another vote for bushnell. It's all about battery life for me, I wont replace the batteries all season. And they are AA's so they are fairly cheap and the camera is small. My brother uses moultrie, he has excellent battery life aswell, but his takes D's the camera is quite big, and it's a pain to open/close to remove your card in cold whether.

Instead of buying a SD CArd viewer buy an inexpensive camera that takes full sized sd cards, that way you have a viewer and a point and shoot camera incase you encounter some thing interesting on your journeys
