I have several Master brand Keyd that are well made and the detent buttons are plastic so as not to scratch the guns. There are several el-cheapo Chinese ones that are not as well made and their detent pins are steel and will marr the finish of your gun. RCMP CFO recently had a booth at a local hunting show and gave away the cheap ones with the metal pins. The Master brand ones are also made in China just to a higher standard. If you have multiple guns some of the locks sold in gun shops are all keyd alike which can be usefull since I've started to mark my keys to cut down on fumbling through a cluster of keys.I’m looking for a high quality trigger lock for a Glock 17. What’s the best one you have come across?
