I was checking out some sites looking for some ideas on which bullets to buy for long range shooting. I have a bunch of Speer, Sierra, and Hornady. all are hunting bullets from 150gr to 220 gr. I was on the Berger site and stumbled upon this chart which shows best twist rate for each weight and style. http://w ww.bergerbullets.com/products/target-bullets/ My question is this is there a site or some other program that would have every common North American made bullet best twist rate. Now I am aware that some rifles will shoot some bullets that should work best say in a 1:9 twist say in a 1:10 twist. Might help with choice. I think I will end up with what ever is actually in a LGS near me but gives a guy a starting point.
Or maybe I am overthinking this and have too much time on my hands.

If you look up the "Greenhill Formula" on the Google, it will give you a good general idea as to what range of twist will get you close.

You're right that some guns will prefer heavier or lighter bullets, no matter what the math says.

It won't be perfect, but close

The Miller formula is a better option - especially when you add in the local atmospheric conditions. See Applied Ballistics for Long Range Shooting by Bryan Litz.
