Best twist rate for 50 cal sabbots.

ive got a project in mind and i need some info on what twist rate would be best for sabots. 1-18 1-28 or higher ?

1:28 is pretty much the norm. I think the Savage is 1:24. 1:18 is pretty fast for the current bullet selection on the market.

I have found that my 1:48 twist sidehammer can shoot .45 cal XTPs in sabots very nicely. It doesn't like .44 XTPs. though - go figure .

my idea is to get a older 10ga side by side open hammer shotgun, and make it into a side by side inline muzzle loader
