Best under $300 "life time warranty" 1" scope?

I purchased a used Millett LRS scope here on EE about a year ago and recently had trouble with zoom ring locking up. I contacted Bushnell and told them I purchased it used as the previous owner had registered it and they said to just send it in anyway. About two weeks went by and today I received a brand new LRS 6x25x56 in the mail. Excellent customer service as they could have told me to shove it. Hats off to Bushnell :):)
And a quick check shows that Bushnell has now jumped on the "no fault" bandwagon with rifle scopes:

Bushnell's No Questions Asked Lifetime Warranty Promise
We’re proud to guarantee your complete satisfaction, and promise to repair or replace your product and ship it back to you at absolutely no charge. This fully transferable warranty covers accidental damage, as well as any defects in materials and workmanship, for the life of the product. *

But, take note of that star (*)

* This warranty is valid for qualifying products within Bushnell Elite Tactical, Elite, Legend, Trophy Xtreme, and Trophy Riflescopes, Binoculars, and Spotting Scopes purchased after January 1st, 2016. This warranty excludes electronic components, cosmetic damage that does not affect the product’s operation or performance (as determined by Bushnell), loss, theft, and damage as a result of unauthorized repair, modification, or disassembly by someone other than a Bushnell Authorized Service Department. Bushnell will, at our option, repair or replace the product with one of equal or similar value and/or specifications.

So if you buy used, it better be "like 2016 used" or you are still on your own with a non-transferable warranty.

Lobe my Redfield Revolution :) glad i bought it when they were 299 on sale 4 years ago :)

3-9x40 is on for $250 at cabellas right now...pretty decent scopes, got one sitting on a 7mmRM with no issues.

My favorite though are the newer Nikon 3-9x40 Prostaff II, for $250 these are really bright, clear, and durable. 98% light transmission, 80moa of adjustment, resettable turrets. I have a gen 1 Prostaff in 4-12x40 and thought it was decent, the newer ones are much better still.
