I am enjoying this gun.
So far, I have added Hogue finger groove grips, which are definitely better than the factory ones.
I have also disassembled and treated it with Sweetshooter. I like the finish when that's done, seems to resist rust and is very smooth.

The trigger is a crisp 4.5lbs and feeds very well.
Accuracy is pretty good too 4.5" at 30 yds (I'm sure a better shot could improve on what I did).

A few things though:
* don't like the plastic mainspring housing (installation is tricky).
I know Brownells sells Ed Brown ones for around $43, while Marstar has one for 28. Any comments on which is better? Or, is there something else?

* the grip safety is not very stiff, kind of floppy. I tried prying out the sear spring but it hasn't made any difference. Is there a right way to increase it's force?

* slide stop is a pain to put in, since I have to push in a little tab (small screwdriver) before it'll insert while holding the slide back. Is this normal?
I am concerned I'll scratch it one of these days.

Since it's working so well, not sure I need the Armco tuneup.

Other things I could tweak are springs and bushings, etc, but it works pretty good as it is. So part of me wants to leave it, the other wants to make it even nicer to shoot.

I am wondering what has worked for other CGNers.

How I like my NP-29....

I have the older version of the NP-29.

Ditched the extended slide stop for a standard one.

New adjustable aluminum trigger. New double diamond hardwood grips.

It's perfect for me now.

Mine also easily converts to a .38 Super with a drop-in Colt factory barrel and .38 Super magazines.
