Best value .50BMG

After some online window shopping I think I have it down tooooo....

M96 Windrunner by EDM Arms

Or

LRT-3 by PGW

The AX50 from Accuracy International is an outside third option

Any fifty should be accurate at 1000y. I honestly don't think u can buy a bad one these days. Wait...does norinco make one?

The Steyr HS 50 M1 is a very nice bit of kit.

She is a pretty big girl with a 34" barrel, very accurate for a factory rifle & reasonably ecconomical.

I was offered a new one but had already commited to a M107-A1 :D

The Windrunner is pretty nice too, my brother has one. The takedown setup is pretty cool, and it's fitted good enough that it doesn't affect accuracy. Got it from Jason at Irunguns last year for the advertised $5800, total came to just under $9000 with a $2400 Nightforce.

If you are only looking for accuracy to 1000 yds why not just go for a .300 win mag which is more than adequate for 1000+ shots if you are spending the money to get a .50 just to make 1000 yd shots seems like a lot of overkill to me. Unless you are looking to go 2500+yds why waste the money?

I have a PGW single shot and love it. I need to find time to stretch her legs out as I've been too busy to get out shooting. :(

It's going to be my Christmas present from my Dad... He doesn't have his PAL... He likes to come shooting with me so since he can't buy guns for him (he has no desire to get his license, he only wants to go out every once in a while) but there are certain things he sees on TV and wants to try them, sometimes they're very specific, in this case he wants to try a .50BMG and once he does, it's mine... He also likes me to have statement pieces and conversation starters...

It's not my money, I'm just trying to get the best value for his dollar and was looking for some feedback :)

If I were to choose a longer range rifle I would be personally after a .338LM
