Looking for any suggestions on what is the best value for money right now in a 3x9x40 scope in the $150-$350 range? (Any current sales? etc)
I'm looking to mount some on a few rifles, but in particular my 30-06 shooting in the 100-300 yard range.

Thanks.

minox 3x9. great value for what you are getting. i have three minox scopes and am very pleased even up against my lueps.

also consider the redfields. they are made by leupold, i think you give up a little durability but get to keep the same or very similar glass.
the redfields always blow me away considering they are $180 new..i compare their glass to a $400 scope.

I would save some beer money or whatever and got Zeiss Conquest in 3-9x40.
I have three of them on 3 Sako's 75 SS, 75 Finnlight and 85 Finnlight all in 30-06.
So when hunting with my sons we can use guns of basically same function with the same scope's.

Two of mine were second hand. If you patient you can get used for 400. So close to your limit.

Yeah, the $350 limit is somewhat there because I want to add scopes to a few rifles. So that would be $350max x 4 ;)
I have a .243 and 30-06 with scope packages that I'd like to upgrade. I also have a 30-30 lever and a 10/22 I'd like to get a couple 2-7x28s (or something in that range) on. If I can find a good price for all I'd just do them all up.
I've been looking at EE for just a little bit and the prices have been a little steep (some coming in more $$ or about the same as new). LeBaron's got Leupold VX 1&2s in that price range but I'm not quite ready to pull the trigger until I see if there's a better $ value alternative ;)
