Looking to purchase another autoloader for duck and goose hunting. Already own a sbe2 and love it and the benefits of a interia operating system in extreme cold . Toss up between benelli super vinci and Beretta a400. What are peoples opinions who own either of these autoloaders.

Why are you trying to re-invent the wheel (if you will).
By the accounts of you having one SBE2 in the blind already wouldnt two be better?
Why does one need a spare gun anyways unless of course it is for a spare, but then a Remington 1100 would Serve well till the main gun was back online.
Then, if one wants to change it up then so be it, but asking for an opinion on what is ''The Best'' anything is just anothers opinion.
Just posting out loud...

If your SBEII fits you and you shoot it well, you have your answer. If it doesn't fit you I doubt another Benelli will be any better. For your reference:

There is a "Help me pick a goose gun!!" thread just down the page.

There is a "Beretta A400 Xtreme OR BenellI Super Black Eagle 2" thread just below that.

There is a "Auto loader strictly for duck and goose" on page 2

There is a "Entry level duck hunting shotgun" on page 3

Etc.

If you feel like spendin some $ on a new shotgun then I'd vote A-400 of the guns you listed. With the Kick-off and weight of the gun it's a soft shooter and I find it smooth swinging waterfowl gun.

If you want the same level or possibly a bit less recoil without a shock absorber in your stock then the versa-max is worth a try.

Funny. While A5 strikes me as more upland than goose pit, it IS a sweet gun. The Maxus is a good goose gun which I finds swings nicely.

Upland with a multi pound autoloader?..... sacrilege......

The A5s do cycle nice..... I will give you that..... but it also looks and feels like it was designed for lego....

You want to know what real sacrilege is? I do tons of upland hunting with my trap gun, shy of 9lbs loaded. That is way worse than with a multi pound auto! :)

My puny, weakling arms ache at the thought already.
The sub 6 pound 20 I recently purchased take care of this issue.
