best way to carry SKS ammo?

the 7.62x39 rounds do fit in the webbing on my boonie hat.....

Use a hockey bag. Should be able to carry about 12,000 rounds.

I just use an ammo box I got from Wholesale Sports - either that or an ammo can that Federal .223 comes in.

Not a chance, I think one 1200 round crate is about my carry limit lol, that thing isn't big but sure is heavy.

That hockey bag would weight like 600lbs lmao.

They're so cheap, I bought a couple of them off evilBay for about $10 apiece... Lever Arms has them for $15 + shipping. Easy to grab them and throw them in the back of the car. Work best if the ammo is pre-loaded on stripper clips.

Take a young beefy lout with you and get him to carry it. You may have to let him shoot a few rounds at the end of the day.

The one that came with mine will only hold 30 rounds. I might be able to squeeze two more clips in there if I orient them opposite directions of each other but that would only give you 50 rounds.

i have a .50 cal ammo can and it fits the boxes on 7.62x39 ammo very nicely.
