Hi all,

Recently picked up a G19X and wanted to modify it to include a compensator. One that looks pretty nice is from the US here:

However, they won't ship to Canada. I was wondering if anyone else has come across a compensator easily available in Canada for this gun? My understanding is that I will have to get a new threaded barrel to install it as well so if there was a online gun store that sold everything that I needed, that would be great.

You will need threaded barrel. Then agency, Zev or strike industries for the big brand name ones, easily obtainable in Canada. For Canadian brand I can only think of Rehlm, Auscan tactical, and I think S&J

Black Leaf Industries in Edmonton stocks both the single and dual port Agency Arms comps, got to shoot one on a 19X in the US earlier this year and am just waiting for my 19X to come to set it up with one of their comps myself. I think someone was looking into bringing in Parker Mountain Machine as well.

You don't need a threaded barrel for a comp. There are models that mount to the pic rail, and some that mount by the guide rod. Google is your friend. There are plenty of options that you can have imported through a third party.

Your best to buy a G17 Gen 5 threaded barrel & G19X is a Gen 5 configuration that’s the only generation that will work

G17 threaded barrel on a 19X with comp would leave a significant gap between the muzzle end of the slide and the comp. A G19 threaded barrel would be a proper fit.

ANY G19 Barrel will work with the 19X, there was no changes to the locking block between generations.

G17 Barrels WILL NOT work at all, completely different dimensions.

Gen 5 G17 barrels will fit all G19 generations as the Gen 5 barrel lock up is based on the G19 barrel lock up. The Gen 5 G17 will not work in previous Gen G17's.

A Gen 5 17 barrel is the same as current, and older model 19 barrels.

Don't post if you don't know what you're talking about.

Thanks, So there are a plentiful variety of G5 Aftermarket Glock barrels on the market right now? How about factory take of G5 barrels floating around? While you are 100% correct I think the tag line above your picture says it all.

Yes the G5 lockup is the same NOW as the G19 has been in the past, making G5 G17 barrels backwards compatible with all G19/26's. But what kind of touched individual would you be to put a G17 length barrel into a G19? Especially if your G19X came with the special Canadian legal length barrel?

Can't get enough smooth barrel? Beat it Nerd.

AusCan Tactical make stainless steel glock compensators & are releasing their own threaded barrels and aftermarket slides, flat triggers, suppressor sights and other parts real soon.

+1 for auscan compensators.
Function flawlessly & they're they only Canadian company making them for glock.

What?
19X uses the same barrels, slides and parts as gen 4, it's just a hybrid 17/19.
Gen 5 barrel lock lugs are different.
