Best way to put a sling on a Side by side shotgun ? (without using rib)

I would like to put a sling on my favorite (old) side by side hammer gun.

Since I don't want to pull the rib between the barrel, I would like to not use this as a mounting point for the sling.

Any options ?

The Italians make a leather covered spring connected to a sling that slides down the barrels and grips them ahead of the forend... the rear of this sling is a loop that goes around the butt stock... haven't seen one in many years...
