both springfield in .45, just bought the mil-spec, need to change back to original grip safety and hammer.

mind you, this is "oh crap gotta run", short-term run and hide gear. the winchester 1200 holds 7+1, and is fairly portable while still having some clout as a club if needed. the machete is, well, pretty much standard as far as i'm concerned. ideally, i would have my home as a comfortable, defendable position. keep a low profile, make the best of it. although, we might need to break up the monotony, or resupply periodically, so i also have these.

the grey 86 can carry five shooters with the roof removed, but obviously risky in an area with a high population of zombies. doesn't have the brute force of a full-size (like in zombieland), but i prefer a smaller vehicle for maneuverability. i know this is a pistol thread, but...:)

Life is too serious. Time to lighten up!:)

What do you think is the best handgun to defend against Zombies?

:D
My choice would be a DA Grizzly with the 12.5" bbl.

"000" Buck for ammo.

A head sized target is easy to miss at short range with a rifle bullet or a solid slug whereas even if you're a little off & you're shooting "000" Buckshot there''ll be enough pea sized pellets hitting that zombie in the head to take its mind off pricedo pate for lunch.

I wonder if the Ontario CFO would consider issuing ATCs for "protection of life" if Queen's Park was crowded with hordes of flesh eating zombies??

The Ontario Legislature is infested with predatory parasites now but they are a relatively tame species. ;)

Of everything out there?? Probably a G18, though there are a lot of other excellent choices in the previous pages!!

Out of what I own? I'd take my old Para 14-45 in .45 Super as my first choice (hollowpoint .45 Super ought to get the job done!!), followed by the Glock 20 :)

I'm thinking zombie, as in diseased human, rather than deceased human. The i Am Legend type, which uses its head to smash through your roof. Kind of like a person with rabies, high on Angel Dust.
For that you use:
1) CAR A4
2) 12 Gauge with 00 Buck
3) .45 Automatic
4) .357 Magnum
5) .40 S&W
and aim centre mass because they are moving too fast for head shots and can be killed like any other rabid, drugged up person.:)

Well from a quick review of Zombie movies I'd say.....

anything you can shoot one in each hand, preferably 'gansta' style......:bangHead:

CZ85. When you absolutely must akimbo and kill every zombie in sight. :D
August 1975--"The 9mm Parabellum cartridge cannot be considered a reliable fight stopper--with any load. I have three recent cases of multiple torso wounds (four hits, four hits and seven hits) that did not shut the subject down, and each was with a different load." Col. Jeff Cooper

That's why you use two pistols at once, one in each hand, with a gizmo in your sleeves that reloads them. :slap:

Seriously, why are we bringing real life into something's pretty much 99.9999999% fantasy scenario?

Duh, Zombies require head shots.

pistol wise. X2 USP matchs like what lara croft had in tomb raider with the mags coming out of the back pack, or if u just wanna tear up the hordes, get your hands on a dillon aero M134, and pull the trigger for 2 seconds. nuff siad.
