Hey all, I'm new to rimfires, I have a buncha other guns: CZ858, AR15, G22, S&WM&P .40, Norc 1911, DA Mag 12g, SKS, etc... so I've kinda been there done that with lotsa regular guns.

Honestly, I just don't really know anything about rimfires.

I'm looking for a Semi-auto / Non Restricted / Tactical rifle that'll take those 50 round drums, or 30rd mags.

Any suggestions?

I second the 10-22, if you want to upgrade it to your own "tacstyle" or get the SR-22 if you want one thats tacticool out of the box.

Cant remember if the SR22 is restricted? Some of them are as Ar15 variants.

A 10/22 can be dressed up pretty easily, as can a Rem 597.
 
SR-22 is non-restricted.

The S&W M&P 15-22 is restricted. It's an AR lower with a .22 upper. The SR-22 is a 10/22 with a tactical stock.

You should buy both and try to interchange them. Not compatible....at all. 15-22 is 98% scale or something....the lower will not work with \ar uppers as far as I know.

Restricted on looks and thats it.
