Just curious on what rifle is overall better in quality, such as the barrel, trigger, accuracy, etc. A stock Remington 700 Police chambered in .300 Win Mag is going for $1,049.00 NIB which seems cheaper than what I paid for my M700P in .308 Win. I had my eye on the Remington 700 Sendero Stainless Fluted 11 in .300 Win Mag, which is going for $1,269.63 NIB.

Is the 700 Sendero SF 11 much better quality than a stock M700P?, perhaps because the Sendero is stainless and with a heavy fluted barrel.

Also, never fired a .300 Win Mag before...how much more recoil is there compaired to the .308 Win? I've fired a 7mm Rem Mag before and it wasn't that bad. Is the .300 Win Mag like firing a 12GA shotgun slug  ???

Thanks for the input

I own a 700 sendero in .270 though , heavy barrel and not fluted. I think they make that particular rifle any more but the newer senderos (like the one your talking about) are supposed to be remingtons most accurate non custom out of the box rifles they sell. Mine, when I bought it and took it to the range impressed me, it was very accurate. And They do look cool....which counts.
