Better SR1911 mag options?

I have been on a waiting list for a SR1911 for a while know, should be here this month or next. I originally order 2 extra Ruger 8 round mags at $40 each I believe. I have herd a few reviews of guys having FTC with the Ruger mags so I was thinking for the money I would be better off with another brand. Any experience with the Ruger mags or suggestions would be appreciated.

Unless you want the Ruger name on the mags, the Wilson 47D mags are a better deal and they are proven.

When i bought my Ruger, i searched for the same answer to that question. Everyone said Wilson 47D.

Wantsalls have them sometime, but I order my wilson mags from brownell's

I got some Pachmar (however its spelt ) from a fellow CGN'er...they work great! I think just about any 1911 mag will work with the SR1911, Norinco might be an exception???

What he said,Chip MacCormick 8rd mags are hard to beat.

Having said that,I haven't had any trouble with my Ruger mags, just wish they were both 8rounders though.

I placed 2 orders with Brownells for the 3 pack of Wilson 10rd mags. I believe the price was $93 for each pack. Arrived in less than 2 weeks.

Tripp Cobra mags are great,I personally prefer them to the Wilsons.They are based in Texas and you can order them directly from the factory

My OEM Ruger mags are fine however.....Chip McCormick 8 or 10 rnd PowerMags from Brownells. Reliable, affordable and quick delivery. Additional discount for Mil or LEO.
