BFR in .45-70

Is your right arm shorter than your left now by any chance? :D

.460, .454Casull and .500 are enough for me. That Casull really SMACKED as well. I think it was a hotdog load which may explain it.

I don't even want to consider a 45-70.....

think that is bad, try one of these

Not too shabby, just checked out the magnum research site. Same velocity as 454 casull, 2/3 recoil. Takes up to lever action strength 45/70 loads, you could even get an extra cylinder to shoot 450 marlin in it too. One of these is in my long term plans, although, if the price were right, I might be willing too get one of these instead of the 44mag blackhawk.

I fired a buddies last spring, he loaded it with 4 rounds. 3 were off the shelf 45-70 loads, the last one was his 405 grn hunting load from his XLR.
 HOO LEE F that was wild :eek:

I shot one too , it was a lot milder than I thought it would be , accuracy was good too , hit a 18" gong at 100 yards standing with the second shot (only fired 2) with open sights using factory loads.

BFR 45-70 7.5 in"

Mine should be here this week, maybe next:dancingbanana:Can hardly wait, gonna start with reduced loads(my Marlin loads would probably break ones wrist) and work my way up to my recoil tolerance. Yeah I'm a pussy, sue me!!! Everyone I've contacted that has one say they'll not part with it. The quality and tolerances are more like a custom than a production gun. Dan at Kodiak Outpost has great prices and is excellent to deal with.
