BHP MkIII Epoxy Painted shut front sights

What were these bone heads thinking when they painted right over the front and rear sights? I've given this front sight four good wacks with a hammer and punch and it ain't moving...

Any recommendations before I go Tazmanian on this thing?

I would try a VERY sharp blade to break the tension of the coating.

These sights aren't tapped from the bottom are they? I see a hole on the underside of the slide. Tension screw? Way too small for me to access or see into.

Trigger pins are also expoxied in and are a bugger to get out.

so, if i buy a browning, other than momars..lol which one do i want?
which are blued? parked? does the price varry because of the finish?
