My buddies daughter dropped a forkhorn WT this am with a frontal chest shot . Damage looked intensive to the shredded lungs.Went out and helped haul it out as he has health issues........Harold
A mulie doe did a faceplant tonight as well at 200 yards......one shot double shoulder severed aorta......buddies daughter is tagged out........happy girl. Will take autopsy pics when it's process time....Two for two......Harold
Good to hear. I posted some pics a while ago on here showing my (not so scientific) results shooting them into many layers of newspaper and the consensus was they would be adequate for whitetails. If you could recover the bullets I would like to see pictures.
The boys processed the front ends while I was at work so pics of the bullet performance is not happening......sorry......... but the mule doe was a through and through low in the chest missing both shoulder bones taking out the aorta at 200 yards. It ran 75 yards and dropped. The WT buck was hit frontally high in the sternum angling upwards into the spine.....bullet exited the upper back.Dropped where it stood requiring a single finisher.Meat lose was minimal ever with minor bruising in surrounding tissue.
I'm sure the coyotes have everything stripped and scattered by now.The fronts were cut and processed before I could intervene and get bullet damage pics as I had intended...........not much I can do about that at this point............Harold
