I have a bi-pod (rock mount by shooters ridge) that i want to mount on my shotgun equiped with a rifled barrel and a scope. The problem is that i must mount it directly under the barrel. But i can't find the adapter to attach a swivel under the barrel. Does someone knows if something like that exists??? If not, the only solution i can think of is to weld a swivel under the barrel to attach the bipod.

I hope someone can help me cause it would really look cool.

Thank you very much.

Does someone can tell me the exact exterior diameter of a 870 express super mag. 12 gauge. I have to check if the adapter from Harris fits and i dont have my gun with me.....

Thank you!!!!

OK Ryback, I think I know what you're after.

If you can find a barrel clamp with the stud like you see in the photo below, (a factory part with the 870P 18") you can attach a Harris bi-pod to the sling swivel stud.

Get us some photos when you get it done. I bet others here would find it cool as well. ... but we need pictures. :)

Not to be a dink, but outside of the OBVIOUS cool factor..

WHY would you want to do this??????????

Because it's gonna look cool AND i plan to hunt deer with it. And i think that with a rifled barrel and a scope i am gonna need some stability to shoot all the way up to 200 yards.

I can't find an adapter or a clamp that will fit. I forgot... the bi-pod i have is a Rock Mount. The adapter from Harris Bipod RePete suggested me will not fit because the barrel is too big. So i will have to find another one. Any suggestion??

It may sound weird but i'll ask anyway...can i weld a swivel directly on (under) the barrel??? It would solve the problem so easily. But i fear it would dammage the barrel.

Thank you for your help!!!

Have you shot your shotgun with slugs to 200 yards?? I would do some range work before I wasted the money on a "precision" setup. The shotgun is the proverbial pick-up truck of firearms, it can handle most tasks. Unfortunately, it doesn't do many of them very well.

One of these doesn't need a stud to be used. Welding ... I wouldn't mess with the temper of the barrel.

if you need a bipod to make a 200yrd shot, me think you need to stay out of the bush and spend more time at the range.

you know this is a slug gun right? not a rifle? 200yrds is a longass poke for even a fully rifled shotgun and sabot slug.

Dude.... at 200yds 12ga slugs have the trajectory of a lawn dart. You might as well get a mortar.

I know all that... don't worry. I also think 200 yards with a slug gun is exagerated. But my point is... i only want to mount my bi-pod on my shotgun. Why ask why?? To me a bi-pod is a lot more usefull than a flash light on a shotgun:confused:... but it looks freakin cool!!!! So please.......

If someone could help me find the accessory i need, it would be nice.

Thank you.
