Anybody know if a stock from a stock from a Biakal hammer double in 20ga. will fit a Biakal hammer double in 12ga.
It seems to me that they probably would.
Any comments?
This stock is from an older gun and the candidate for replacing it appears also to be from an older gun.
I only have pictures of the replacement stock and i am trying to decide if it will fit( minor Fitting I would expect). I have made a custom stock once before for a Mauser 98 with hand tools( don't think I want to try it with this stock). The original stock from this shotgun is totally disintegrated where it attaches to the receiver and because the plates that hold the hammer assembly are separate from the receiver( they only attach)there is a lot of room for error in making a new stock for someone with as limited experience as me(I have nothing to go by). Also the gun is not mine it is for a friend and even though he is a very good friend I am not sure that I want to invest the amount of time it would take to make and to fit a stock, too many other more pressing things ahead of it.
PS. The mauser stock did turn out very well and even though the rifle does not shoot that well I will never part with it.
