This is the perfect size.

That is one FUGLY gun

i've got to agree with balthazar on this one. some of those things are rediculously big. and if you are wearing gloves and have trouble getting your hand into the lever, do you not also have trouble getting the business finger in the trigger guard? i think that if you have a big loop it should also have a big guard over the trigger.

The trigger guard is quite generous, even for gloves on most levers.
It's the loop that is the issue for me. I can only get two gloved fingers in, if I use cheap cotton garden type gloves. Forget anything warm.
I consider the large loop ugly myself, but when it's really cold out, I wish I had one.

Bet you can`t do it on horse back,at full Gallop, Reins in your teeth,:D

Neither did The Duke. He would have been on a saddle mouted on a vehicle with the camera so they could get the shot. And I imagine he had some outtakes too. Movies, love'm but never believe them.

To do that with a regular loop would take itty-bitty hands or only a couple of fingers in the loop. But it could be done I believe.

could it be that the loop on a 94 is just a tad larger than on the 92?- ie longer?- the one i have is a 93 vintage with a 16 inch barrel-and my hands are NOT "itty bitty"- i wear a 13 glove and fit 3 fingers in the loop

What make is this unit? I might have to have one....

It's a Marlin 1895SBL, 45-70. It's well balanced and sight aquisition is very fast, faster than any other ghost ring sight I've used. 6 round magazine, and the recoil pad soaks up the energy. I've been working up a load with Bullet Barn 450g RNFP hard casts and it is very comfortable to shoot. I love the big loop, not so big it looks rediculous, but is very functional.
