Big Bad Wolf

you guys are so funny
this pic is real....i saw the wolf in person a few weeks ago when this guy was on his way home with it.it was shot on a bear bait near edson with a 30-06
the 200+ weight was just a guess...and pretty damn accurate one you can go to trophy book archery in spruce grove and see the other pictures of the same wolf in different poses if you think this one is fake LOL
its getting a full body mount as we speak and the whole thing is on video soon to show up on Wild TV....or maybe that was faked too?!?!?!
haha just ribbin :wave:REAL

Yeah, anytime something big or unusual gets posted its automatically fake.
No doubt its a monster, a friend of the hunter said it ran off a decent bear from the bait, the day he shot it.

in the vid they are filming a large bear directly under their stand....then the shooter whispers "WOLF!"...the cameraman just barely gets it in frame as he shoots the "big bad wolf"

it didnt run the bear off in the video...coulda been earlier though...i dunno

those boys had a hell of a time extracting it from the bush...said they had to tie his legs together and thread a tree limb though them and hang him upside down and shoulder him out....seeing the wolf in person...i believe them LOL

Here is my buddy with a nice large wolf

My friend is 6ft and 200 lbs

Presumably everyoine knows how big a sled is?

The wolf in the initial picture is bigger, but that doesn't mean it's a fake. Some wolves get BIG!:)

I worked with a crane operator in northern AB who shut down a job for an hour one day because he wouldn't take a dump behind the burm on a lease.... he apparently had a close call with a wolf one time. He jumped in a pilot truck and drove 1/2 an hour to a lease with a 'turlit'... damn camp food:p. Needless to say when it costs an oil company $1000 for a guy to take a sh*t he isn't too popular for awhile. He must have run into that big fella's brother one time:eek:.

Yes, they weigh considerably different from a uniformed guess to when you actually put a scale to them.

This is like all the bear experts that estimate 125lbs bears as "Oh, 300 plus easy":D

or the deer hunter who drops a deer at 150 yards and then calls it a 500 yard miracle shot??

i know where you are coming from......but dont be so quick to slap me in the face with the "uninformed" paint brush..you dont know me

i know what i saw...and i feel privelaged to have seen it in person...friggin things paws were bigger than my hands...and i aint a little guy

I am happy to back you on this one Jamie... Its kind of sad how someone takes a big big critter like this wolf and some people just don't get it cause they never seen anything like it.. Cause they drive around in there trucks and call them self hunters and never see a big critter in the woods cause the critters are in the woods and not on the road.. I think i just opened a whole new bag of wolfs... Good on ya Jamie..

To all the guys that said this story was BS. Might want to watch WildTV Sunday July 12 at 7:30pm (Hunting Chronicles). You can also see it, and pics here.

Nice wolf!!
Now we are starting to get somewhere! Too bad I will miss the TV- any other place to watch it? What was the weight??
Frustrating as it may be, don't be pissed at doubters (myself included). If this wolf is truly a world record there is ONE of it in existance. Or *was* one until it got shot. ;) I have trapped and shot wolves, lay in bed listening to them howl as a kid and have since worked with wolf researchers which is exactly why I doubted. All it takes is a couple photos that are clean and clear.
