I am not convinced that he shot the tree down, however that is a great piece of footage. He took the recoil very well for fast .50cal shooting.

If I saw someone saddle up to the firing line to shoot a semi auto .50 standing my jaw would probably drop.
 
Hollywood style... rapid fire while standing then cut to tree in far distance falling. I'd have preferred an over the shoulder shot myself. :)

Cool vid though.
