Hi Henry Rifles, I was wondering if the Big Boy Rifles in .44 Mag or .45 Colt were tuned to feed Keith style lead bullets? Had a Browning '92 in .44 Mag once and I did get rid of it because of this reason. I am not interrested to modify such a rifle in any way.

From my experience, Henry lever action rifles in 45 Colt will only cycle and feed a cartridge with a maximum C.O.L. of 1.580". Others may have had different results.

It would not feed HSM Bear Loads in the 325 grain lead 45 Colt +P. Placed in the chamber single shot, no problem, but wouldn't feed from the tubular magazine....:(

The problem I had with the Browning was not the OAL lenght of the cartridge but was the shoulder of the wad cutter itself that was stucking and cannot be lifted by the carrier...

A little late to the game here, but can confirm wadcutters or semi-wadcutters would need to be loaded into the chamber one at a time. Even though the OAL of the cartridge may be the same, the extreme edge on the shoulder causes feed issues when loading into the chamber.
