S.O.C's (SOUTHWEST OUTDOORS CLUB) second annual BIG BUCK and BULL DAY will be held on March 17/07 at the Tilbury Arena (49 Bond ave. Tilbury ON.). The event runs from 1pm till 9pm.
The Event:
Bar: ( Hey, it's ST. Patricks Day... Green Beer!)
Lunch: (scouts will be selling food etc... Support the Scouts!)
Seminars: KEN CAPLING WORLD MOOSE CALLING CHAMPION everything you need to know about calling! Also Ken will have his famous MOOSE MAGS on hand -Long distance fiberglass calls.
IRENA KNEZEVIC : Award winning speaker and PHD candidate-discussing Hunters vs. Urban Environmentalism.
Irena Knezevic is a graduate student at York University in Toronto. Her general research deals with the complex food chains of North America. Her presentation at the Big Buck and Bull Day will address some of the moral contradictions of opposition to hunting.
HOLLY SIMPSON: Biologist with the MNR discussing diseases of big game animals such as Deer, Moose and Elk.- Be able to identify what you may come across in the woods.
Product Demonstrations: There will be "Outdoor" vendors on hand.
Trout Pond- Fun for all.... bring the kids! Rods and bait will be supplied or bring your own if you wish.-outdoors.
Ontario Record Books can be purchase at the event
ONTARIO MONSTER WHITETAIL MAGAZINE will be there! and copies can be purchased at the event
Scoring By FROW
Contest Eligibility
1. Racks previously measured by FROW are ineligible, but can be brought to the show for display purposes only.
2.Entries must be registered by 5pm March 17.07.
3.Trophies and prizes for ALL TIME Typical Whitetail, Non-Typical Whitetail and Moose: Dust off the old Deer head in the basement! Bring in your Grandfathers old mount! Show us what's out there. Only Ontario animals can be entered.
OVER $1000 in PRIZES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and climbing.
4. Trophies and prizes for 2006 season for Typical Whitetail, Non-Typical Whitetail and Moose.
5. Special Junior Category
Win a Excalibur Exomax crossbow or $800 shopping spree at GK Archery. Tickets will be for sale @ $10.00each.
Children 12 and under free- accompanied by an adult.
EVERYONE WELCOME: $5.00
