I was in the two big box " gun" stores in Saskatoon this afternoon and noticed the RIA .22 was $239. Don't recall which store. CT in Yorkton has them, regular price $169. Jeez, and people still buy them at the higher price.

I'd venture to guess that the one in Yorkton is old stock, bought when the CAN dollar was stronger. The Saskatoon store probably moves far more product and likely has newer inventory bought at a higher price from the distributor.

is there even such a thing as 'new inventory' when we are talking about RIA?
i havnt heard of any new shipments hitting the stores, plus RIA is out of the Philippines, no?

I don't know who distributes RIA, but I do know they were starting to trickle in to Canada a couple years ago when Ruger couldn't keep up with demand for 10/22s. And Yorkton is the last place on earth one can sell anything in a reasonable amount of time except for perogies and cabbage rolls.
