Looking over the Internet I found a new type of rifle matches called Big Game Rifle. It appears to have been formalized in Australia under the Sporting Shooters Association of Australia.
The matches are intended for "Big Game Rifle" and the classifications start, at a minimum of 338 and go up.
In detail the classifications and matches are:
1. Group 1 Nitro
• Minimum calibre .330”
• Minimum Bullet weight 165grains
• Minimum muzzle energy 2,900 ft.lbs.
Courses of fire: 20 shots

4. Charging Animal - Special Snap
Charging Animal
• Any firearm meeting the requirements of Group 1 minimum.
Course of fire: 6 Shots
- For each competitor, targets will be placed at 75 m, 50 m and 25 m.
- On command the competitor will fire 6 shots, in order;
2 shots at the 75 m target,
2 shots at the 50 m target and
2 shots at the 25 m target.
- Total time allowed is 35 seconds
Special Snap
• Any firearm meeting the requirements of Group 1 minimum.
Course of fire: 8 Shots

5. Black Powder Express
• Minimum calibre .400
• Minimum case capacity 110 grains black powder
• Loads may be:
