Big News From Cooper Firearms....

First off, thanks to all that stopped by this weekend to visit with the folks from Cooper. It was a busy but whorthwhile couple of days.
We apologize if your email or call was not returned but will work through all of that as we get back on schedule this week.

Now, the big news out of cooper is that there will be a repeating action in the new year in a 223 length action. Prototype is being called the 21R and will be available in MOST current M21 calibers but likely not the fireball based cartridges.

We've had a lot of inquiries over the years on a repeating 223 action so I'm sure this will be well received. Cooper is not taking official orders until after the SHOT show in January. We'll have an order for 50+ rifles ready to go as soon as they accept these orders.

Well at least it won't arrive until next year, I already have two Coopers on order, with a third in the works, so my firearms budget is tapped out for this year.

One other tid bit is that it looks like Cooper will now take orders for M52 rifles(30/06 action, repeating) in 9.3X62
Will have to wait a bit for .366 barrels but we'll get a few on order.

I guess I will have to do a few extra jobs between now and Feb. and give Clay some more of my money. I'm glad I have a few months to decide what I want next but it will probably be stainless and synthetic as well.

The 204 is a 'for sure' cal.
I've already put together an order for a custom classic in 20 TACT, with our wood, inlaid studs, inlaid studs, Neidner butt for myself. Would have made it a 223 AI but already have a CC in 223 AI

I'm sure the synthetic stocks, like always, will come in later stages. Laminate would be ready to go though.

The M52, although not catologued by Cooper, can be had as a varminter. I've had a lot of 6.5/284's go through the shop but they rarely ever make it to inventory.

I want an Excalibur Model 54 in .308 with stainless fluted barrel, stainless fluted bolt, and stainless action! Any possibility of getting something like that by next September? Live and hunt on the BC coast and NEED the stainless

I wrote to Cooper to ask about the possibility of getting a Model 54 in Excalibur trim chambered in .308 with a fluted stainless barrel, stainless fluted bolt, and stainless receiver... answer came back YES all for $150 US uptick on price of gun! WHOOO HOOOOO!
