Bofors AB was and is big in the armaments trade. At one time or another they have supplied most of the world. Pretty good for a Swedish company when you consider that anybody ELSE in the arms business was a Merchant of Death.
During the Second World War a nice chap named Axel Wenner-Gren owned a big chunk of stock in Bofors. He was also the owner of Electrolux and owned the former Hughes yacht, "Southern Cross", which just happened to have on board one f the finest long-range short-wave radio systems anywhere.
Wenner-Gren also had a number of influential friends, among them Canadian Harry Oakes (who didn't really like the Swede very much), the Duke of Windsor (who had been King Edward VIII). Oh, almost forgot: Adolf Hitler, of whom you might have heard somewhat. He was the combined Prime Minister and President of the German Empire.
Wenner-Gren's ship was believed to be used for espionage while the Duke was Governor of the Bahamas. AWG would visit the Duke and then make a long radio message to his friend in Berlin. Only thing that kept him alive was that yellow-crossed Swedish flag.
Bofors made a LOT of money.
