Big revolvers

Not to derail (much) but I'd love to see a SRH in 45-70! Actually, (more on track now) I have a Raging Bull .44 that has annoyingly large grips. He might take well to one of those.

Perhaps a Redhawk in .357 would be appropriate. Larger frame without having to switch ammo.

I bought a big pistol from a dealer today.

A Ruger Bisley SBH in 44 mag 7.5 inch.

Bisley=longer grip

The 460V is big

You can also get the S&W N frame in.357 so you can shoot cheap .38s in it. I have a 6 inch model28 highway patrolman that is a great shooter.

yup the S&W counter sniper revolver in 460VX...with 14" barrel

That barrel is so long it almost qualifies as non restricted (I wish)

Taurus Raging Bull or Judge in 454 casull... can shoot 45 long colt out of them for cheap plinking

Herrett's makes the Jordan Trooper style of grips, which are ideal for large hands. They are made to order based on a tracing of your hand and can be made to fit S&W, Ruger, and Colt double action revolvers.

This, and BCRider's advice. Apparently Bill Jordan had huge hands. (I wonder how they compared to hickock45's?)

Tell him to buy a 460! He can shoot 45lc, 454 and 460. I have a 460,500 and 50ae deagle. The 460 is my favorite and most versatile,especially if you reload. You said he wanted a big bore revolver but 357 is far from big bore.

Sometimes I look at the .44 as the 'perfect' cartridge, not too small and not too big. The GP100 (.357) is for scale.

I have to agree with you! I love shooting my 44's and they are the most enjoyable to reload.
