Bill C-21 Passed in Senate - What now?

Keep raging in the comments lol, you're pathetic and your English is as bad as someone who's only been here for 2 years not 24. Any Canadian who has a brain has left this dump for greener pastures as the tax, laws, real eastate market, and mass immigration of Brain surgeons like you has pushed anyone who actually makes money away

Moron you confirm, like we say in French « le chien aboie et la caravane passe « .

I can't wait for that to happen LOL

I’m going, i’m going...these guys don’t go anywhere, and the main reason for that, it’s because they don’t really have any specialized skills that allow them to go anywhere. So they sit in their little town, like pesants , and ##### about immigrants...they need someone to blame their failure on.

I happen to live in Quebec moron, it doesn’t mean I’m French. But the French members here would certainly appreciate the comments of the little pesant like you. That’s how we describe little people, with no class, little education, and a small compliant Brain. I have lived in this country for 24 years now, and have met my fair share of morons like you...probably frustrated by the fact that a good chunk of immigrants do succeed and build a successful life in this country despite all the odds. It must be frustrating to see someone else, from another place , having succeeded better than the pseudo locals. Unless you’re a native, shut the f..up.
The government you have today is simply a very true reflection of your own people....it really does.

You know I am not sure who you represent but for someone who has been here in Canada for 24 years and thinks the Government of the day reflects "our own people" you are horridly misinformed and know little of this country. Our present Federal government is in power having received 30+ percent of the voters cast. Your comment is about as informed as saying Donald Trump represents all Americans like you. Beyond the lunatic far right I doubt he reflects 1% of Americans. Since you live in Quebec and no doubt well travelled within Canada you surely are aware transfer payments have been financing most of your governments revenue shortfalls, yet your Provincial Government refuses to allow pipelines to cross your Province.

As to the Immigrant situation you might review the present debate going on the the US right now and tell me how many support unfettered immigrants crossing their Southern border. I suspect it is about the same as our concerns about our own immigration debate. So get of your high horse and and quit assuming all who disagree with you are somehow less enlightened than you are. From what you have written here........

Take Care

Bob
I should add if I was born in any of the pathetic countries that most of your defendants are coming from I might be inclined to try to get to Canada as much they are. I might even want to get into the US.:>)

I seen at least one online retailer following C21 already. This is listed on there front page.

BILL C21 - UPDATE 15/12: WE HAVE CONFIRMED THAT ALL MAGAZINES, BARRELS AND PISTOL SLIDES WILL NEED A VALID PAL PRIOR TO SHIPPING.
RE: all other parts; the definition of Firearm Part in the Bill reads as follows:

firearm part means a barrel for a firearm, a slide for a handgun and any other prescribed part, but does not include, unless otherwise prescribed, a barrel for a firearm or a slide for a handgun if that barrel or slide is designed exclusively for use on a firearm that is deemed under subsection 84(3) not to be a firearm;

I'm always amused by the people that go into the anti-immigrant ramble. If they actually stopped for one second and thought about it, probably 99% of them had Grand Parents or Great Grand Parents that .....wait for it..... were immigrants! My now deceased Grand Parents, both immigrants, same with every single person I know. They seem to forget just because they were born in Canada and their Parents and Grand Parents were born in Canada somewhere down their family tree they have the DNA of immigrants. That being said we need controlled immigration, you can't just open the flood gates, it puts way too much strain on the system.

I’ve lived in 3 different provinces so far, Québec being the last one. The current government truly represents people’s mentality in this country today...basically, you deserve what you’ve got , plain and simple. As for the 30% stuff you bring up, I’ll make it very simple......add both the liberals and the NDP , what do you get ? More than 50% of the votes, right ? Add the Bloc Québécois..that’s almost 70% of the population that share the same fundamental ideas. These parties have joined their efforts together with the blessing of their constitutions to rule the place. You are not going to contest those numbers, aren’t you ? Unless you tell me the whole electoral process is all fake and rigged ? I have my own idea on that, but i’ll leave it to you to comment on that. So, what’s left is CALLED A MINORITY. voilà. It’s a sad reality for you to accept it, but I made peace with myself on the last election, and admitted the fact that more than half this country has a complete different perspective of life.
As for the endless debate about immigration, and how much is needed and from where, I’m not here for that, I simply responded to a moron who started putting everything on immigration, the source of all their calamities. It’s typical of the losers who didi’t make it well in life, and need to blame someone for that. It’s like the Quebec separatists, when the last referendum on Quebec sovereignty failed by a thin margin of 1-2%, they blamed the cultural minorities for that. I say «# no, it wasn’t because of the minorities, they were too small in numbers to greatly alter the results, instead, it’s because you guys didn’t want bad enough me so you were stuck at the 49% mark «#. Put it simply, and that’s how I look at it, Immigration is a business deal. You had to bring in immigrants because you had no bloody choice. There wasn’t enough people to grow the economy, and replace an aging population that needed more workers to pay the pensions of the generation going on retirement. I really don’t want to go into an endless debate about the need vs number of immigrants allowed into the country, and the quality of those coming. You just can’t put everyone in the same bucket.

Toronto's most wanted violent criminals. These are the people committing gun crimes that we are being blamed for. If you dont see how wanting less immigration from the places these people came from is related to gun rights, you may need help connecting the single dot here. If you notice something and mention maybe we should be prioritizing immigrants from less violent countries, like iceland, norway, Japan etc people will call you "anti immigrant" lol. I think we should have more immigration so long as they are from nations that actually share our values and don't have unbelievable crime rates. According to a very recent nanos poll the majority of Canadians agree with this sentiment.

Y'all best hush up. If it weren't for immigrants, who would serve us our coffee at Tim Hortons?

Better paid Canadians, obviously. Iam not anti immigrant by any means and have roots outside of the country. Swapping lifetime healthcare etc etc for corporations to get cheap labour is a very bad deal that somehow Canadian have been tricked into, virtue signalling is a pretty tempting lure that Canadians seem particularly vulnerable to.

I don't know how this thread got into immigration, maybe distracting us from the main issue that is bill C-21?

I am an immigrant. I came to Canada 19 years ago when there was a long process of qualifying for immigration. You had to have a university degree, years of work experience, police clearance, medical checks, pass a language test and bring at least $10K to start your life. I didn't receive any subsidies or payments from the government, I worked and paid taxes just like anybody else. I have contributed to Canada for almost two decades where I call home now. I am a proud Canadian and a proud gun owner.

when time becomes tough, racists craw out from under the carpets, and blame ethnic groups, including immigrants. Happened again and again throughout history, more in the US, but certainly also in Canada. It's a sad story to tell. I am a proud Canadian otherwise.

Idunno boss, you think basically having an open border and a welfare state is a good idea. Enough with the "muh racists" bull####. Canadians are suffering here and barely able to afford food. Old peoples 1500 pension is an outdated formula from the 80s and they barely afford the cost of living. Yet here we are bank rolling new arrivals, scammers using the international student program as a pathway to citizenship and giving billions of dollars to despots from said countries.
