She's a Lib. That was her FU.
I have been asked to call the Senators office to speak to her former assistant about this bill for some reason? Any suggestions?
Just heard on 650 am radio that 70% of Quebec are in favor of a long gun registration. I guess they didnt hear over there that it failed years ago.
Everybody here knows that this bill is a private Senators bill, and is not any indication of the gov't actions, right? This is put forth by a soon to be gone Senator, and it will die on the order table like the 99.99% of ALL private bills that are put forth. Like the bill that wanted to ban pet ownership, and the bill that wanted to develop a unified currency with the US. These are not gov't positions, these are personal whims, put forth by individuals, not gov't. We can relax, at least as far as this particular bill goes.

Sent a few letters out and got this. Gotta love lip service - Mr. Goodale is going me every consideration! Of course, I already sent it to Goodale.
Dear Mr. ###
On behalf of the Right Honourable Justin Trudeau, I would like to
acknowledge receipt of your correspondence, in which you raised an issue
that falls within the portfolio of the Honourable Ralph Goodale,
Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness.
Please be assured that your comments have been carefully reviewed. I
have taken the liberty of forwarding your e-mail to Minister Goodale,
who, I am certain, will wish to give your views every consideration.
Thank you for taking the time to write.

So said landslide Annie. She thought it was end game and that was it. Fortunately many Canadians didn't take her at her word and kept on fighting. "Gun control" in Canada seems to be like a case of herpes. Always simmering just below the surface until some Liberal causes a flare-up.The debate is over.
So far only one Alberta Senator has responded as follows:
Thank you for your email and for taking the time to provide some insight on Bill S-223. I will take your perspective into consideration as this bill makes its way through the Senate
Best Regards,
The Honourable Claudette Tardif
Senator for Alberta
