Every knife, hammer, slingshot, and pointy stick should be registered to a licensed owner who has taken the proper safety courses. WTF are we coming to?

Senator Hervieux-Payette during S-223 speech: “Nobody is opposed to registering their car for … so I think we should do the same thing for firearms”

Why the #### aren't we opposed to registering our cars?!?!?!? Private mother ####ing ownership! We are so used to being told what to do, that we just do it without ever questioning if our rights are being violated.

Honestly, I can find another hobby if this one gets taken away, but why should I have to? I'm a responsible, law abiding, productive member of society. The fact that the government should have any say in what I do in my spare time is preposterous!

I agree 100%. Where are the firearms organizations that we pay membership fees so that they will support us when we are under attack?? Its always the same sh$t!! "Enter our gun raffle to help raise funds for a stronger organization". "Here is a sticker and a flimsy knife as a gift for renewing". Where are they when we need them???!!!

The CSSA sent out an alert about this last week.
I recall a few people on this forum dismissing the concern.

The CSSA has no power over the senate. The power of the CSSA is its ability to mobilize members to a common cause. So far gun owners have mostly been apathetic, cheap, and whiny. Except for a brief flurry of activity over the bannings last year, and the activity of a very tiny fraction of the community carrying water for everyone else, gun owners have been very passive.

We get the results we deserve. People need to stop making excuses for why they are not politically active, with their time and money. They won't donate 50 bucks or an hour of their time, and then they get frantic when their $20,000 gun collection is at risk.

If a tenth of the time spent #####ING uselessly on this forum was spent on supporting the only political party that supports us, the last election could have turned out differently, and the next one could turn out better than the last one.

Yeah, we also need to registering our TV, mp3, PC, PS4, paper, book ....

Hand over everything? the only thing I'll hand is what is registered because everything else will be sold to Mike in Canmore

Along with all the taxes you paid for the firearms/ accessories and remaining ammunition. Seeing as I dont need a safe anymore they can buy that back too. Also a refund for my Rpal and all related courses....good luck.

Have to love Canadians... "It won't happen ... It'll never happen... Oh look, it just happened"

C68, UN markings and now this ridiculous bill.

If it happen, I will not buy any firearm which be marked by dealer! The after-marketing UN mark will damage the original look and finish and also much more expensive. Unlikely the most manufacturers will do this UN mark only for our small market. If we cannot change it, this bill will kill our firearm business more than S223.

I canNOT believe taxpayers foot the bill for this nonsense.
I canNOT believe someone as obviously clueless as this dope have jobs that pay the way they do.

I'm at a complete loss, really.
Why are idiots running the country??

Please, just retire and go away.

Canada need to elect senators like USA and six years each term(not lifetime)

Many young men and women fought in the second world war so we might be free from tyrants. Many lives lost and terrible injuries. The ultimate sacrifice.

Looks to me like if we are to remain a free society it will have to come again at great loss, this time against the enemy within.

Law abiding men and women are not to be trusted with firearms according to the Liberal elite.

I'm going to buy as many older collectible guns as I can before then, too. It's outrageous that 70+ year old guns will have to be vandalized when they are imported.

this bill doesn't have a hope in hell of passing,to many Liberals would be comiting political suicide if they vote for it,and the PC have to even set a date to review it,which insiders say they'll get to it when hell freezes over,or later,

If and when this bill is defeated, at least we are letting them know we will not stand by during future attacks. Our letters, emails and standing together as firearms owners will hopefully send them a message.

I've sent email to all Sask Senators and mailed letters to
Claude Carignan, Opposition Leader in the Senate

Note the corrected spelling of the Senate Opposition leader's name, Carignan.
Letters sent to these people suggested by sheep100.

Well I agree if this were to actually make it through massive non compliance is the key. Back in the 90s when they went all crazy there were lots of cool toys that went underground I am not saying I have anything to do with this but I know of more than a few beautiful collections of HK guns ar rifles ak rifles and what not. And it's funny they haven't caused one bit of harm or caused any public safety concern since there disappearance from the system. Our government keeps this up iam going south to the U.S and live with my uncle. Should have listened to him 30 years ago when he said to do like he did and left this place
