Bill Wylde gone to quieter ranges

I figured those that knew of him would be here.
I got news the other night that Bill Wylde has gone to quieter ranges.
Another legend gone too quick, but we rarely get to choice our exit.

I wasn't sure if it was the same Bill, but I confirmed it with Ganderite. I remember Bill at the last DCRA annual matches I went to....it was his first year using an accurized AR and he dominated the field back to 600 meters with it. Sad to see it was him.

Bill was one of a kind. I remember one year that he won the F Class at the DCRA. He cobbled together an old Musgrave action and screwed on a .22-250 barrel and shot 80 gr SMK's. He used a 16X super sniper scope. He painted the barrel white. When people asked about it he told them with a straight face, that it was a new ceramic barrel that he was testing out. Later in the week he used a red magic marker to draw lines on the barrel, told people that they were stress cracks and didn't know if it was going to make it to the end of the week.
Bill also built the first proto type tube gun that I had ever seen, I believe he sold the rights to MAK.
