Biodegradable clays

The "Blaze Orange" birds sold at Canadian Tire are listed as being biodegradable. Just check the boxes before you buy, as the gorillas in the stock room leave many boxes with more broken clays than good.

The problem with the white flyer bio targets is that they are harder diamond!

The target you can keep on throwing! lol

Most target are made of clay and pitch with some paint "biodegradable" yes, completely non-toxic? Not really.

White Flyer Bios are sulphur based and not good for grass or invertebrates! Lawry has the only NA truly bio target that has no side effect to nature. There is a similar product out of Latvia that is wax based.

Here is a link to Lawry's site about their targets

I have shot Lawry and White Flyer biodegradable targets in all South Western Ontario weather conditions. Both are breakable, if you can put more than 3 or 4 pellets into them (LOL). The Lawry web site is listed above and here is the White Flyer web site ... http://whiteflyer.com/ You can contact both and find out who sells their targets in your area.

Good info guys, thanks. I've never seen the Lawrys or white flyer clays in BC. I'll call tomorrow and see

Canadian Tire used to sell Lawry's. Not sure if they still do.

Many of the club throwing sporting clays targets use White Flyer but are purchasing several pallets at one time. These come from TA Ferguson out of Calgary. He delivers into the Peace, Cariboo, Kootenays but unlikely into the lower mainland. Some clubs get their White Flyers from Northwest Shooters Supply in Oregon but you need a semi load to make it worthwhile.

Wholesale Sports sells White Flyer at many of their stores, again have no idea about the lower mainland.

Yeah I don't need a pallet- just a few cases. I have a group booked and want to do some backcountry clay shooting off a cliff. I won't do it unless I can find the biodegradable targets. :)
