Bipod and scope for .223

Either get a good bipod or use sandbags because those $20 bi-pods are krap.

Went out to the range the other day with a buddies Remmington 700 police in .308 and shot well except for the fact he cheaped out on the bipod which caused major issues when shooting.
Would recommend investing in a harris bi-pod. Even if you end up getting rid of the marlin you can always keep the bipod and use it on whatever else you get.

Yes a good bipod is a must, had an ebay cheapie, 1 afternoon on my 300wm and it sheared right off. Since then i use harris.
However, Caldwell bipods seem to be decent from what i hear (dont own one, havent used one.....so........)

Harris is the way to go. If your on the bench I wouldn't worry about the swivel or angled Version. No need for it.

You can pick up used ones quite easy on EE sometimes for a good price.
