I had been looking at trying to find a CZ bipod to attach to my CZ858 and found they have been a bit scarce of late. Those I have seen were a couple hundred dollars. As I looked at the bayonet attachment it occurred to me that it was close to the spec of a weaver dove tail. As I did not see in the near future any need to quickly affix my bayonet I thought that mounting point might work for a dovetail adapter to picatinny, allowing the use of more common bipods.

I bought this "HAMMERS 3/8"- 7/8" DOVETAIL TO WEAVER ADAPTER MOUNT". Well I'm no Satain, when it comes to coming up with cool idea's but I proceeded to dremel and file the adapter large enough to fit on the bayonet mount. So here's the results which holds the bipod very firmly.

If I was going to do it again I would use a file and forget the dremel since I managed to scratch the adapter with the dremel and had to touch up with paint.

Nice piece of redneck engineering. Looks good.

How does it affect your POI compared to leaving the barrel to float?

Very nice work! Is that a Leapers UTG bipod?

I see you got a riser on your NEA upper now too, sweet!

Yes it is a Leapers UTG (TL-BP69S) bipod, seems real sturdy and had a good price you cannot complain about. The 1 inch riser matches up well to the NEA scope mount. Thanks Mambo, you helped me confirm the height required.

I'll have to let you know as I have not had a chance to get out and see if there is any difference. Don't think I'll use it a lot but nice to have the option.

Cool, I got a Leapers UTG bipod on the way...they are definitely good bang for your buck. I opted for a shorter one that I'll mount on the NEA lower for comfy bench shooting.

Your rifle is looking slick!

Yeah I bought it after seeing a review by ............... I think his name was NutFancy ??? on YouTube, I'm sure you will be happy with it.

Regarding the riser, I'm waiting for a set of Troy battle sights for that front riser and behind the 50 mm red dot. Hoping they co-witness as my stock iron sights are difficult to line up now with the fatter MagPul UBR.

If you got the standard height Troy BUIS and not the Micros then I don't think you'll have any issues seeing your Troy sight through that big-ass RDS :)
