Bipod for CZ 858?

firstly, the bipod should slide in freely, do not use a mallet. if it doesnt slide in freely then find out what the problem , any blurr or paint, if so the file it off.

secondly, fold the legs forward and the pin on top of the bipod should move down into the bipod , this allows you to slide it onto the bayo lug.

thirdly, move the legs down or backward , the pin will move up into the bayo lug thus locking it in .

Ok.
Thanks.

Got it working.

I guess being brand new, it took a little 'extra' to get Extended. Sharp edges I guess on the Detents.

Only 11 of my 18 mags are in this pic. .....

Now it works great.

Thought I'd share my project.
I bought a Harris bipod the attaches to a sling swivel from a place going out of business. I figured I'd like to adapt it to one of my weapons. I decided I wanted to adapt this to my CZ. In the end, I removed the attachment pieces, drilled and filed the plate for days until I had the shape I wanted. I then fit it to the barrel under the gas tube at the front of the barrel where the port is from the inner barrel. I had an aluminum clamp plate from an SKS accessory that I no longer needed and with the help of a teflon half pipe from work I snugged it up to fit seamlessly. What I like is the low profile and the fact that it covers up the length of the barrel which I feel is more aesthetically pleasing. What I don't like is that the legs are about an inch too short. I guess I'll have to add some material, but all in all I feel it turned out fairly nice. Sorry if the pictures are a bit blurred.

Might not be what everyone is looking for, but I thought I'd share it.

Having this problem right now.

The legs are folded or stowed and the pin is extended out.

If I understand correct from this position the pin should be down to allow it to freely slide onthe bayonet mount.

So how do I get that pin to drop? Why is it sticking up?

tried knocking the pin in - wont move

I can wiggle the mount and see the pin move a bit, but I cannot get the legs to extend

try moving the legs from the front , down and then backward , any movement of the pin? and which position does the pin wiggle the most ?

Get the Fab gen 2 pivoting bipod foregrip, best grip ever, DOES NOT get in the way of mag changes contrary to some thought out there. deploys to a bipod that you can shoot off a bench or the ground with a 30 rd mag no problem without any clearance issues. Its light and easy to handle, it deploys with the push of a button and can adjust to any uneven terrain, unlike those metal fold out style ones that are bulky and heavy. Its super comfy and handles well for off the shoulder firing.

do yourself a favor and go to zahal and get one for like 130 bucks, one of the best upgrades you could get for your cz, highly recommend.
