Hey, I am wanting to try out a bipod that fits the front sling stud on 452 Varmint.

any recommendations? Keeping in mind, I won't be competing at a national level or anything, but I don't want the cheapest crap either.

I am tired of shooting off the foam pads at the range, or with a sand filled inner tube placed on one of them. Yes, its better than off hand, but it wobbles. I looked down the scope of someone elses 425 Varmint with a bipod and it was way steadier.

I've gotten the rifle down to just under MOA with mini mags, off the sandbag/foam block combo. Time to turn it up a notch. 3rd time's the charm?

Harris, with the swivel for sure can't go wrong. Use 2 on my CZ452 Varmint, and A-bolt, and 10/22. Other knock offs are cheaper and might be as good but I don't own those.

I have the Champion, 2 of the UTG and the Harris bipods and they all work the same. They are all front stud mounted and I find they all perform the same, so save your money and get the one you can afford. Is the Harris built better, maybe, but unless you are going to use it like Rambo then you don't need it.

The knock-offs might be OK on a .22, but the Harris can be used on your CZ then be moved to a centrefire and you'll never have an issue. I didn't want to buy two, so I went with the Harris and I've been happy with it.

Harris is the only one you can get fixed. Just send it to Harris Engineering in Kentucky. They will fix it and pay the return postage.
Send anything else to them . . . it will get re-cycled.
I think I have 6 or 7 not counting the one my son has claimed.
