Just wondering what people are doing to mount a bipod to these stocks. Any advice, pics, etc. would be great.
i think for the simplest install Berger has the right idea.
with this I would drill out the forward sling rivets and install the bipod using one of those holes as they are recessed inside the stock where any screw heads may interfere with the oprod/gas assembly and for a permanent mount up, use epoxy putty where the bolt head is and cover it completely, locking it into the stock.
then install a second sling swivel , for your sling on the side of the fore stock![]()
I'm in the process of ordering the parts for this also. Best method (read reasonably priced for quality product) would appear to be a sling swivel with rail from Fulton Armory that mounts in the front sling swivel area and a bipod from Smith.

FA has a nice bipod but then you also have to buy an adaptor to mount it to the 1913 rail.
the rail below is fitted to a thick walnut stock but is an example of one rail set up.... note the sling swivel and also the rail is set up for the bipod swivel adapter

this next stock uses the sling mount holes to permanently fasten a 4 inch rail purposefully for bipod and rail mounted sling swivel
