Bipod mounting options

Those rectangle slots should be Mlok so you can either direct mount an Mlok bipod or add a Mlok to Picatinny rail and then Picatinny bipod.

Those are MLOK slots. Here are some options:
- MLOK bipod (magpul makes a good one, so does MDT)
- MLOK to Picatinny Rail, then Picatinny Bipod (like SilentKnight said)
- less common, but you can also do MLOK to Sling stud and get a sling stud bipod
- my personal favourite: MLOK to Arca Rail. And then get an Arca bipod
If you don't plan on removing your bipod and shooting primarily from bench or prone, then mlok or picatinny is fine.
If you plan on using a sling, then the 3rd option above gives you flexibility.
If you want to be able to quickly take the bipod off and on, then Arca is the way to go. It'll cost a little bit more now (to buy the mlok to arca rail as well as the bipod), but it's just a simple tighten / loosen / slide off / on. You'll usually see Arca on competition rifles, but you can absolutely use it on plinkers and casual target shooting rifles too.

For the type of bench shooting I do, I was not going to spend a fortune on a bipod. I have gone the Harris bipod route in years past, and they are fine. but I recently bought two of these, one m-lok and one swivel mount, and they are great...and great value.

People here have already given great advice. I'll just mention my current experience with mounting a bipod on my own Taipan X - I put a swivel sling lug M-LOK mount on the front M-LOK slots and attached a Harris clone bipod to it. There's plenty of clearance for the pump action to work. The Harris clone is by Feyachi and imitates the 1A2-BRM bipod fairly closely. I transferred this set-up from my now prohibited semi-auto Crusader Sentinel Gen 2. It doesn't match the Harris bipod for quality or durability, I'm sure, but it's lasted fine so far.
If I were to revisit my bipod needs, I would probably go with some sort of QD setup, either with the ARCA rail, as others above have recommended, or any of the various Magpul QD options.

Another vote for an arca plate instead of a direct mount.
I use them in most of my rifles.
Neewer on amazon.
Way cheaper than area 49 and i use them in pretty stout recoiling rigs with zero issues.
I use an MDT GRND pod to send rounds way out there.
