Bipod on a USGI stock

Look up GG&G Extreme Duty Bipod Adapter for the M14/M1A. Wolverine has them.
I bought one of the GG&G from Wolverine last year and I ended up returning it. It was hitting the op rod when I cycled the action back and forth. I would have had to removed a whole lot of stock material to make it fit. Thumbs up to Wolverine for excellent return policy. No questions asked.
I ended up buying and installing with no issues the Sadlak front rail mount. I did remove a tiny bit of stock material, but hardly any. Fit and installed in about 10 minutes. Sadlak makes a front bipod mount with both a Harris QD mount and also a picatiny rail.

no problem shipping this to canada. Shipping for small items like this is about $20.00 so I like to double up or tripple up on small accessories ! I tell myself I am saving money doing this
As far as any Canadian companies making anything like this I don't think so. Every once in awhile I send an e-mail to the m14.ca people #####ing and complaining that I can't get a sadlak piston and that they should make one for us, but no luck yet. Frank did respond saying he is working on a few different idea's ......

I used a homemade swivel adapter through the original gas port hole then drilled and beveled some holes just above the bipod for new vents on both sides of the stock.
Also did the same to the heat shroud, I figured it's a cheap plastic stock, why not. Dremel tool is your friend :E

A guy that yomomma hates that left this site did a step by step thread how to do this with out a dremil. Actually it was with the help of Hungry AkA Tactical Teacher LoL!!! It involves a hockey helmet repair kit. It's a machined thread screw and a retainer nut that you put threw the gas vent and were the stud adaptor goes.
