Bipod position

Preparing for my second precision season and have made a few changes to my rifle.

I was zeroing it back in today and decided to move my bipod around to see what difference I could notice.
Moving it back dropped muzzle jump and 'may' have tightened the group up a bit (hard to tell at 100m) but felt
like the rifle had no weight to it.

Where do you lock your bipod down if you have a reason for it?

Any input would be great.

As far forward as possible=maximum amount of stability. But if something else works for you then I say go for it.

It does feel best far forward as you say, and I shot it that way my first year.
I just liked the muzzle jump reduction with the pod back.
I may move my recoil pad up and see if that helps my follow through instead.

Your issue may be improper/lack of loading the bipod. Here's an example of how it's supposed to be done:
