Bipod Prices

Rohann:

I did a little research and in general

1. for a short harris expext to pay 130 + tax + shipping

2. For a comprable Versa-pod, expect to pay $170 + shipping + tax.

I have had on opportunity to use both, and am saving my shcekels for a versa-pod.

Just my 2 cents

Reagards and all the best

Thanks! HWMNBN ("he who must not be named") said he'd give sell me a Versapod under the condition that if I don't like it I can send it back for a full refund, so I'm gonna try it out (I've already used a Harris before so).

Gentlemen:

I would hazard an educated guess that, for that kind of money, it's the fixed or non-swivel model. The $130 quoted I quoted above is for the harris type that swivels. Sorry should have been more clear.

One has to make sure that your making price comparisons on the same model.

Further if you want a tall harris (ie 13-27"s) that swivels, you will pay $150 plus tax.

These are this years prices.

Got a Versa-Pod with the rifle from Rick, and I like it so far. I haven't shot with it yet, but it seems like there are more moving parts and doesn't feel as rugged as a Harris.

Good to see you back.

We started carrying a few Versapods as well...

Versa Pod prone - model 150-001 $94.95
150-051 $110
150-052 $115
150-200 $145
160-002 $145
160-001 $145

plus gst and ship

So which model do I need if I want 12" from the mounting "spigot" to the ground, and the metal "ski" feet? And light weight if I have a choice.

Isn't the Harris and the rock mount the same piece? I was compairing them at WS and they looked the same to me. I got the 9-13 for $65 IIRC. Works great for me thats for sure.

Rock Mount is the clone of Harris, there is only 2 difference, the bottom monting screw AnD 50% less on the price, SIR retail the 9-13 for 61.00$
only my 5 cents, i use both, and they are OK

Sendero - I'm afraid I would disagree. The Shooters ridge is excellent value for the money but the last versions I have seen were not equivalent to the Harris Bipods. The shooters model is a bit looser and I know of a few minor failures that I have never seen on the Harris. Now keep in mind the failures were minor in nature and I'm confident will be worked out. At the time of failure the hunter was not impressed. They are a very economical alternative to the Harris. Perhaps the latest production models are on par with respect to quality.
