Bipod selection

I just picked up a Vanguard, it seems to be o.k, have not really run it through any paces yet, so. But anything is better then the NC star harris clone, broke on the first use, cheap China junk.

I looked at a Vanguard at Sail. Is it the one with the big spring under where it mounts for a swivel? I didn't like to look of the one I saw in the store. Might be a great bipod though.

Yes it has the spring under. It does not look so bad though and is light weight, and seems sturdy enough. It is also made in China fyi but seems to be much better in the quality dept. I will mount it on my CZ 858 to see how she hold up , because I have only had it on a .22 so far, so not much of a test in weight for it.
