I go with a tripod instead. Most of the terrain i hunt (flat with scrub) wont allow going prone anyway. I use an aziak tripod for glassing anyway and if im using a gun with no arca, I just use the bog clamp. Can still get way low with no center column.

I’m surprised that no one mentioned spartan precision bipod, super light, super easy super fast one and off… seams like a no brainer….

I’ve been using it for 4 years. Amazing. Hooks up to any gun. Super light. Prone sitting and standing height. Durable. Fair price.

I have an adapter on all my guns and a leather hip holster for it. Perfection.

I’d suggest looking at their website. The Guide Adapter has very little press, but it is their best non permanent adapter for a stud in my opinion. The Back Country Hunting Podcast, funny enough, has a brief mention of it in a video released just this morning on YouTube.

I ended up ordering the Classic Guide Adapter this afternoon. Yet decided on which bipod of theirs I’ll go with.
