I am certain quite a few SKS owners have bayo-mounting bipods. What I'd like to know is if they are any good. I've heard some people say they're great, and others say they negatively affect their accuracy. Perhaps you who have experience with this can fill me in...?

YES!!!! No more bugging my friends to use their firearms! :D
I am trying to resist ordering parts right now....

I've got one of the NCSTAR lug mounted bipods. It does the job but the legs shake a little and it adds a lot of weight to the firearm. I wouldn't recommend them. Look for a light weight bipod and you'll be much better off.

Yeah... so, turns out I am too weak to resist ordering parts. Just ordered these ww.tech-sights.com/ and these ://www.williamsgunsight.com/[/url].

(No hotlinks to non-supporting dealers)

Oh boy oh boy oh boy I haven't been this happy since.... today, when I got a new shipment of shisha.

I have a NcStar that fits on a 1" piece weaver rail. I don't know which bipod rideauwrangler has but mine is great. Comes off in a second, no springs in sight, locks up tight, is solid as a rock and swivels. Best $35 I ever spent.
I use it on my 858 as well.

I've seen those (the weaver mount models from NCstar) on ebay, and considered ordering one, now I think I might just have to take the plunger after hearing a review of one :p I wasn't sure how well they'd perform, after getting my hands on a bayo lug bolt-on model (ie; crap!!). The bolt-on bayo lug bipod is garbage, quite frankly. Don't waste your money.

Anyone wanna buy a bolt-on bayo lug bipod for an SKS? cheap cheap!! :D

I bought mine on ebay, I took a chance and the gamble paid off for a change.
There are cheaper NcStar bipods, but this one seemed the best, It's a neat design and well made, I was well pleased when it arrived in the post.
