Hey guys,

I just went out and purchased a K10/22 on my lunch break @ Le Baron. I asked about a Bipod but the clerk wasnt sure if there was a bipod that would attach to the gun since there is a Barrel Band on my model.

I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions from personal experience as to whether or not I can attach a bipod to the barrel band some how. Also what make model might achieve this.

I plan on heading to the range after work to put a couple rounds through er and might try to pick on up in the pro shop.

This is my first gun so please forgive the noob question :D

Thanks in advance.

The stud can be put into a synthetic stock but it will loosen over time. Savage arms has a stud that is threaded and has a nut which gets imbedded into the barrel trough and holds things from moving. Try that... My savage is a 12FVSS.

Uncle Mikes sells threaded studs as well. I usually buy them at Wholesale Sports. Comes with 2 screws, one woodscrew, one machine screw and nut.

you could get a universal bipod that clamps on the barrel. or spend the $50 and get on of these.
