Bipods

I was just charged $30.00 handling on a $67.00 Brownells order. :(

WTF ? I never get charged duties on packages from brownells unless I do export paperwork and have orders over 100$ My next order is almost 600$ that one might hurt a bit.... ;) But its still cheaper then getting hosed up here... :p:p

The harris was 75.19 to my door... I have an Dealer account with them so my prices are a bit better....

Swivel with notched legs is the best version of the Harris in my opinion. Harris's can be had for around $130.00 in that configuration. There are other brands that make knock off's of the Harris, but I can't vouch for them. I've had the cheap Chinese clones and they have problems, but are usable on a budget. The mechanism that locks onto the swivel stud is very light weight, tends be tighten up crooked, and leave the bipod canted. The padding slides and the bipod ends up damaging your stock. These can be had for under $40 on ebay.

^x2 Yes, it's more fun to spend hard-earned money on nice guns/scopes/rings...but don't cheap-out on the bipod. Like my buddy always says; "buy cheap, buy twice". I bought a Caldwell for about $58 at Bass Pro before realizing that entry-level Harris are around $75. No comparison, honestly. Go Harris. I have one 9-13" non-swiveling with leg notches, and one 9-13" with leg notches that DOES swivel. I paid about $130 for it, and won't get a non-swiveling bipod again. Worth the extra money.
